Call us right now if:

• You smell gas, leave the house first, then call your gas company, then us
• Your CO detector is going off, get everyone outside and call 911 first
• No heat and it’s below freezing, pipes freeze, and it gets dangerous fast for babies, older adults, and anyone with health issues
• You smell burning or electrical odors from the furnace or air handler
• The breaker keeps tripping every time the system starts
• No AC during a heat advisory and someone in the home is elderly, an infant, or medically vulnerable

What happens when you call

• Gas smell: don’t flip any switches (even lights). Get out, call the gas company from outside, then call us.
• Water leaking from the furnace or air handler: flip the furnace power switch (looks like a light switch, usually on or beside the unit) to stop the condensate flood.
• Burning smell or sparking: kill the system at the breaker panel.
• AC frozen into a block of ice: switch cooling off but the fan to ON, thawing it before we arrive saves diagnostic time.
